My Background
I studied physics for a long time. That pursuit culminated in earning my PhD in experimental particle physics in 2012 from University of California, Irvine. Afterwards, I left academia and began working in the aerospace industry. I’ve had lots of practice writing code, developing algorithms, performing calibrations, and doing data analysis which all helped me in building the software behind Project Calcuhol. It was only natural for me to combine my enjoyment of well made cocktails with my desire for understanding the way things work.
Friends of Project Calcuhol
Here I pay homage to those who helped with the construction of this site.
- Allison Day helped me get started when I knew nothing about making a webpage. She also helped name this site. Allison runs a sushi blog Sushi Day and a community food photography website Fridgg.
- Sachin Raheja created the artwork for this site, such as the favicon. He has a fantastic collection of original animations on his youtube page.
- Local Tucson specialty liquor shop “The RumRunner” has been a great source for otherwise hard to find products, many of which you will find on Project Calcuhol’s menu of ingredients. Check them out sometime: The RumRunner.
